DVC AP renewal and park access question

Hi,

I just renewed our DVC AP and got a will-call #. I asked if I can just use my magic band linked to my AP will -call # to access the park, she said she believes that is correct. She didn't think that I had to go to the ticket window first before I entered the park to get my "hard card" AP. Is that true? Can I get into the park with just my magic band and then later stop by ticket window if I want the "hard card"?

You can try, but I'm pretty sure you have to go to the window to activate the voucher first. It can be any ticketing window. Doesn't need to be guest services.
