i am staying at akv, can i get my annual pass there. also can my cousin that is staying with us get the ap dvc discount at the front desk . wno in the family gets the ap discount .how do they check. thanks

No your cousin is not eligible for the discount.

Who is eligible to receive the Annual Pass discount?Disney Vacation Club Members receive a discount on the Pass for themselves and their immediate family residing in the same household only. At the time of purchase or redemption, your Disney Vacation Club Member ID Card must be provided and ALL ADULTS must present a valid driver's license or state identification card showing they reside in the same household.


Who is defined as "immediate family"?"Immediate family" is defined by Walt Disney World Resort for discount purposes as noted below: Spouse/Registered Domestic Partner, Parent/Step Parent, Mother-In-Law/Father-In-Law, Child/Step Child, Brother/Stepbrother, Sister/Stepsister, Brother-In-Law/Sister-In-Law, Grandparent, and Grandchild.


Can I use my discount to buy a Pass for someone other than myself or immediate family residing in the same household?
No. This discount is exclusive for Members and may not be transferred. This perk may be revoked in the event of abuse.

It's about $100 off. And even if your cousin lives in the same household with you, you won't be able to get them a discount - DVC doesn't seem to consider cousins to be "immediate" enough.

I do not think you can get them at the hotels.

You need to go to Downtown Disney or one of the parks to purchase them.

our 1st time to get AP's since 2005. We only received $20 of each pass (purchased 4 passes) but can't remember if this deal is continuous for DVC members only.

Yes, you can get the discount each year. When it is time for renewal, you just get a discount on the renewal price. I don't remember if it is $100 off the renewal price or not, but it is still a significant discount. All of this information only applies to APs at Walt Disney World.

At Disneyland, you can get a $20 discount (which I think you got!), but I do not know if you can get that discount on a renewal. We've never had APs at DLR, so I'm not familiar with its inner-workings. However, having a "home" on both coasts, I certainly wish we got the amazing discount at DLR as well.
