17 days until our kid's Christmas present trip which was decided on late November after AP sales had already ceased. What's the likelihood that AP sales reopen in the next 2 weeks? We got repeatedly pummeled last year as only half of us were allowed to purchase APs. We didn't cancel trips last year because we were told in January and then again in May that sales would reopen and values applied and blah, blah, blah.

So, I'm not holding my breath but I will also change our plans this time.

Who is into guessing games? What say you? DVC AP come back online soon? No? What are your thoughts?

If it opens before before Feb break, I'll buy 2.. if it doesn't, then I'll only get 3 day PHs for those people and we'll skip a trip. I know Disney doesn't care much about the repeat guests, but this will be the second year in a row that we've cut back on trips because of no APs. Using our points this year at Aulani.

We'll likely get UOR AP's if they don't bring passes back by March. We have 2 trips of 10+ nights in 2022 so we really want AP's to come back.

The holiday crowd level was insane. I don't see the Incredipass coming back. I can see the Sorcerer coming back with a big price hike.

The problem with your timeframe is that next weekend is marathon weekend, so I would think the announcement will be after that.

I am okay to wait. I have some random tickets--a few one day passes and maybe 2 3 day ones just hanging out. We could scrape something together if we had to. We could just enjoy the resort or like Little John, we could get UOP again. We don't like thrill rides particularly but love HP. So that might work and the price is definitely better.

I hope they come back soon too. DH and I have them but just found out our 22 year old will be joining us for a second run Disney race weekend so I’d love to bridge the 5-day ticket I have for her for princess into an AP. 🤞

Well, I won't be there until May so based on my luck the last few years, they will probably open sales back up in June.

I just saw where they are offering a 2 day ticket for Florida residents for midweek days only, starting tomorrow. I wondered if the AP may make a return if there is some new ticket options tomorrow? I need a couple before the end of March, so I'm hoping it's soon.

Sorry going to piggyback off this thread...

My trip is pretty far out, early December 2022.

If they become available again, I would like to buy the AP ASAP but the question is... how long do they give us to "activate" the pass? I want to buy early because I just know they are going to increase prices but is there usually a "start by" date attached to it?

Typically the AP voucher say good until 2030 (at least what I've seen). Pretty sure once the AP voucher is on your account you can activate it whenever.

I could be wrong but I thought with the most recent AP sales, they had to be activated within 12 months of purchase. I also have a trip planned in December 2022 and had planned to purchase an AP in December 2021 before they stopped selling them.

From the Important Details information box on the purchase page:
Pass certificates expire one year from purchase. After one year, the amount paid for an unused, expired pass certificate may be applied towards the purchase of a new pass at current prices so long as the new pass purchase price is equal to or greater than the amount paid for the original pass certificate.

Sorry! Just to clarify I’m not a Florida resident anyway, so I too was looking for the DVC ticket to come back. I just thought if this particular ticket was going “live” today, maybe there was hope that other tickets were also making an appearance today.

Yeah hopefully soon. We're less than 60 days out from our next visit and checking daily.

It would be nice if they would offer a DVC ticket offer.
Yes!!!! I don't need an AP, we don't/can't go that often. But it would be great for there to be a discount on regular tickets. Or if you could buy a 10 day ticket but be able to spread those days out over the year instead of 2 weeks or whatever. I know it will never happen, but one can dream.
