Has anyone purchased a DVC AP w/the 10% AP discount pass along cards? Member Services us telling us DVC price is not applicable to this discount, even tho it is on the FAQ on the WDW site.

Anyway, anyone successfully do this? Where...at the ticket boot, Guest Services, front desk DVC?

Is this just an impossible dream....10% off DVC AP???

Thanks!

We got the DVC discount plus the extra 10% off last weekend. We brought the AP at the Disney customer service location at downtown disney at the market place. We also could have brought it on the west side beside Disney Quest but we forgot our photo ID card so brought it the next day at the marketplace.

It says right in the FAQ that DVC APs are included. MS is wrong. My daughter bought hers last week at guest relations in EPCOT. THe only ones that are not included are Fl. Seasonal and after hours. It is 10% off the DVC price. When you purchase a DVC AP online it gives you the DVC price, not the full price with $100 off.

BTW -- you must buy your AP in person at guest relations at one of the parks or DTD. Those are your only options. No vouchers, no will call.

MS is trying to sell you a voucher and then they would be correct you can't use the card there.

I have to say there are not many free thinkers at MS as all they can do is Quote what their computer says and what it says is no 10% discount with orders.

I know someone that just got it done at Epcot they did have to show their Members blue card .

Check out CheshireFigment's thread on the Theme Park board, he's a ticketing agent and yes you can use the 10% discount on top of DVC price for AP's...reason being the DVC price is the PRICE not considered a "discount".:banana:

I knew the Disboards would have it right....I thought we had to go thru MS, but obviously their expertise is not tickets. I will go to the Epcot IG.

Thanks again!

We are staying at Boardwalk and getting in at about 9:00 on Friday night 6/26. We are going to the pin event at 9:30 on Saturday morning. :goodvibes Can I activate my AP at the window coming from the BW and also get my 10% there? or will they let me in the park & I will have to go to Guest Relations? I need to figure out how much time to allow to make it to the pin event by 9:30. :confused3 Thanks everyone for you help. :flower3:Penny:flower3:

There is an guest relations window at international gateway (back side of EPCOT). There are 2 kiosks. The one on the right is for tickets and the one on the left is guest relations. This is where we buy our APs most of the time. (So actually EPCOT has 3 guest relations). Not sure how late they are open in the evenings, but DTD is open later.

Does it have to be an active AP? We will be in Orlando doing US/IOA in June and back in July at Vero? If they have to be active then I will just wait until Nov.

I am so bummed, we will be missing the promotion by 8 days.

I know it has been mentioned before but how much is theDVC AP less 10% total with tax included? Thanks.

Calling various parts of Disney will always net you different answers. Someone recently called the "ticketing center" and talked to a CM (who basically just sells tickets on the phone, and the card is no good there), asking about the pass-along savings card. The CM insisted that each person getting an AP have their own pass-along card in hand to get the 10% discount, which directly conflicts with the language on the card itself which says it is good for up to 6 passes. It's not like I want to buy myself 6 passes, all of them active...

Just a reminder here that the AP Discount card offers can only be shared over on our Theme Parks Board. The topic has been deemed off topic on the other DIS boards. Thanks all...

Even more specifically, this thread, which is also the official FAQ thread...

Thank you for the answer about guest relations. I knew there was an entrance at the Epcot International Gateway, I did not know there was a guest relations there. :goodvibesThanks, Penny
