DVC Annual Pass Question

I am confused and need help.

We currently have Platinum Annual Passes that expire 5/1/2018.

They have a promotion ending 12/31/2018, DVC Platinum AP for $559.

We have a vacation planned for 6/3-6/10.

If I purchase the APs before 12/31, I would not activate until 6/3. But, since our current ones expire on 5/1, would I still be able to do our FPs 60 days prior to 6/3? (we would have expired APs without activated APs)

Maybe I am over-thinking this, which is a distinct possibility.

As long as the Exchange Certificate (aka voucher) for the NEW Platinum Plus Pass is linked to MDE, you will be entitled to the advance FP+ booking window (30 days if staying off-site or 60 days if staying on-site).
