DVC Annual Pass; Gold vs Platinum

I am planning on purchasing new annual passes soon. From what I've been reading, it seems as if the only difference (aside from price) between Gold and Platinum, is the black-out dates associated with the Gold. We never go to WDW during the black-out periods, so I believe that we'd be better off purchasing the Gold.

Am I missing anything.

You are correct, passes have the same benefits but just differ in the Easter and Christmas time black-out dates.

Agreed. The only reason we have the Platinum this year was to go for NYE. We will drop back to the gold pass for next year.

No. Platinum Plus includes the water parks.
