We just purchased our first contract resale in October. We paid the maintenance fees for 2014, since we got banked points. I've been waiting for the bill for the 2015 fees, but haven't received it. Am I just supposed to know they're due? If so, how do I pay? :confused3

I never got anything in the mail. I just went online and it was there under the annual dues section

I actually haven't received anything in the mail either and was thinking of asking if there were others who have not. I think I need to call MS since I do like to see what I'm paying for. I have always received the proposed dues statements in the mail in previous years.

I haven't receive anything by mail yet, either. But I pay via monthly debit. And a reminder to those that usually debit on the 1st of the month, the January payment is always delayed until the 15th.

Mine has not arrived yet either. If I recall correctly, the bill usually arrives right around the holidays so perhaps we'll be receiving them sometime next week.

Hate paying the dues bill, but LOVE OUR DVC!:yay:

Does that include not receiving the proposed dues statements that were sent in November? I didn't receive those. I also recall the actual bill to arrive somewhere around the holidays - either right after Christmas or right after the New Years but if I'm recalling correctly those are just the statements and don't have the info like the proposed dues statements.

I called MS on 12/23/2014 and paid my annual dues for 2015. The CM said that paper copies of the annual dues bill are already in the pipeline and I should receive my copy in a few days. She reminded me that the paper copy was created several days ago and will not reflect the payment I made on 12/23. The CM said I can always sign into my online account to confirm that my 2015 dues are paid in full.

I did receive the booklets that we get a week or two before the annual meeting. I can't remember exactly when I got them but it was within a few days of when the first few people were posting the information here.

Maybe you should call MS and make sure the system hasn't changed your mailing address information. I also seem to recall that we were given the opportunity to opt out of receiving paper copies of the booklets and could view the information online instead, or maybe that was just for the billing statements? I can't recall but I do remember that at some time in the past year we were given the option to opt out of receiving paper copies of something.

You can log in to your member account and in the points/dues section you can pay your dues with a credit card and print your statement.

If you deduct property taxes, you'll need the statement for your income tax return. I remember they gave us the option to opt out of paper statements, I can't remember if I did or not. I did get the budget notice in the mail.

Haven't received our paper invoice yet either?:confused3
Mail is very busy this time of year though, but I do NOT remember "opting" out of paper statements...I never do as I happen to still like paper statements, certainly as a "reminder" of upcoming payment!

I was looking around the members website to see if there was a setting somewhere for opting out of either the budget booklet or the annual statement. I didn't find anything but I did find the online copies of the booklets. Under "My Membership", click on "Condo Association Notices". When that page loads scroll down to "General Meeting Notice and 2015 Budget Notice" and there will be a link to a PDF for each resort you own. There is still the open question of why you did not receive them but at least you can review them online.

There is also a link to "2014 Annual Members Meeting Highlights". It brings up a one-page summary of the annual meeting announcements.

I think they will be arriving any day now.

My comment about opting out was in response to KAT's comment that she did not receive the Condo Association notice back in November. I vaguely recall DVC giving us an option to opt out of receiving those booklets and reading the information online instead.

Thanks for finding that - I'll take a look tomorrow! I never intentionally chose to opt out of the statements if that is an option anywhere but at least I can get them and I'll also give member accounting a call about why I did not get them in the mail. It'll be interesting to see if I get the bill. :)

We haven't received our paper invoice either. But we knew it was due and paid it on line.

I just became a DVC owner in 2013 and paid my first dues (in full) in January 2014. I thought you were only able to deduct property taxes on your primary residence. That will be nice!

I have a question about paying the dues. In January 2014 I just went online and paid the balance in full for 2014 (I just bought DVC in 2013). Now I hear about people paying monthly.

Does Disney charge any interest if you pay monthly? I don't like having any "bills" and that's why I just paid in full in January. But in reality if I could earn interest on my money sitting in my savings account throughout the year, why no do auto debit? LOL, not like we have high interest rates now but every little bit helps.

Would I have to pay in full in January 2015 and basically do auto-debit throughout 2015 to have the dues covered for January 2016? Or would I just pay throughout 2015 to cover the payment I would have paid in full in January 2015?

Thank you!

DVC does not charge any interest nor fees to pay annual dues monthly from a checking account (US based financial institutions only). If on monthly payments, your paying the current years dues (not prepaying the next years).
