DVC and Room Block

To all custom DVC Brides - Did you use a room block? The groom and his parents are DVC members and so are we. We can meet the 10 night minimum using DVC nights. I know some ppl on our side are staying offsite at a condo, but thought it might be nice to offer the reduced rate for other guests who are not DVC or staying elsewhere. Did you do the room block, and did you need to guarantee that ppl will use the blocked rooms?

DVC rooms will count towards your room block. My parents are DVC members and they used their points for their room, as well as for the bridal party that needed help with the cost of rooms. The rest of our guests used the room block - or stayed offsite

HI, I am a custom bride too. I just had to choose my room blocks and we did block 3 nights at the DBW villas. We did not have to garantee people will stay in them to my knowledge. I just blocked a very small amount incase some people would like to stay there as an option. I may even be using the villas for 2 nights to so me and the girls can get ready on the wedding day.
