DVC and Photopass code

My first DVC trip is 45 days away. YEA!!

I remember a few months ago when the photpass discount page "disappeared" that it was mentioned that you get an email from disney around the 45 mark, which included a photopass code for the CD for $99. At the time, DVC members were not included, but I was wondering if this has been recified.

I wouldn't mind paying $99 for the disk, but $150 is a bit much.

I read this at another site:
Effective immediately, Disney Vacation Club members can contact Member Services within 45 days of their scheduled arrival date to obtain a promo code good for $50 off the purchase of the PhotoPass CD (normally $150.) After contacting Member Services, a unique PIN code will be emailed to the member which is valid for the upcoming trip. Note that the promo code is unique to each member and can only be used once.

Thanks, just called DVC and they emailed me the code. Call me cheap, but $50 is better in my hand than Disney's.

MS will no longer email a discount code. The pre-visit offer has been reopened to all Disney Resort guests.

Thanks! I found that after my post, I used different terms in my search. I wonder that doesn't come up in a pre-order offer on the site? I almost pre-ordered today with the $15 discount, glad I came to the dis first!

I think the Photopass pre-order page is Disney's worst kept secret! But it's always been that way - not available anywhere on the regular website for Photopass, but available to anyone with the link for the pre-order (well when it wasn't being reserved for on-site guests for that short period of time).

I did this before. It's a great idea, but I'm having a senior moment. I forget how this works. Do I use my existing photopass card and then add the card later? Or do they give us a new card for this pre-ordered CD?

Today, I got a new photopass card in the mail and it says to register this card. Can I use this card for the pre-ordered CD?
