DVC and Photo Memories?

For our last several trips (various places), I've made memory collages on poster frames and have them hanging all around our finished basement. My girls (and their friends) love to look at them, and they now enjoy collecting things I might want to use (like napkins, swizzle sticks, etc.). I guess this next trip will focus on our first trip "home" and concentrate on photos of the villa.

But I started to think; now that we've joined DVC and will be going to Disney more frequently, will we want to take the time to take pictures and capture things the way we'd done before? We really aren't "camera bugs" to begin with, so I'm wondering if my memory posters will just fall by the way-side.

I'm curious from the seasoned DVCer's if they still bother to take vacation photos, and if so, do you cherish the photos the same way you did on your earlier Disney visits or do they end up in a drawer? Natt

Yes, we still take tons of photos. We built a new house last summer and we have a sun room (Florida room in some's vernacular) and it is full of photos from WDW trips as well as the prints of the different DVC resorts we like to stay in. Not to mention plenty of other Disney items.

Then there is the WDW photo albums that we started buying at WDW. Each one has the year on it and is full of the photos from that year's trip. I believe my DW gets those at World of Disney.

We also take photos using the digital camera and those are used as desktop wallpapers on the computers. The different photos rotate every so often, so there's a different wallpaper all the time. We will take new shots for that purpose too.

All of these photos help us keep the WDW magic feeling during the long months between trips! :)

We've been member for a little over 10 years, and have been to WDW almost every year since '77, and twice a year or more since being members. We still take tons of photos. Usually 3-5 rolls with the film camera and a about 100+ shots with the digital. Taking pictures is like points, you can never have too many.

Another picture taker here! Each year I also get one of the dated photo albums from World of Disney (and I think other locations as well). One of the interesting things is to see how the parks change from year to year and thru the years, esp the foliage and trees and plants.
I do look at my pics from time to time and see what we did and saw the last time. I probably have 50 pics of Spaceship Earth!!

One day I'll take the time to scrapbook a collection of photos and memories.

Enjoy your Disney days!

Last May was our 10th DVC anniversary. We brought a roll of prints that we'd taken at OKW when we joined in May 1992, and went to each of the spots and took a new picture. It's great to see how OKW has changed.

I used to take 3 - 4 rolls of film each trip. Since I went digital, I take 200-400 pictures each 12-day trip. I'll never run out of photo opportunities
