DVC and Florida Residents?

Hello all,

A little poll for you about DVC and Florida residents...

My husband and I taking a bit of a family inventory if you will. We are thinking about our values (lost sight of is really important to us), the jobs we have (too stressful and unfulfilling), the place we live (too fast pace and not as warm and friendly as we would like), our lifestyle (got caught up in the "live beyond your means" trap) - the whole deal. As part of that, we are considering a plan that would have us moving to Florida in the next two to- three years. We are DVC members, and I'm wondering how that will mesh with the plan. I know, that's the least of my concerns, but it is the most fun

I live 90 minutes away from WDW and belong to DVC. I love driving up to Disney on a Friday night for dinner or just to walk around. Being a DVC member is just icing on the cake.

Even though we live in Florida we don't live IN Disney so it is just as much fun for us as it is for everyone else.

We will be moving just 6 miles north of Disney sometime next year when our house is done. We also wondered how our DVC would work for us living so close... then we thought about trips to Vero, Disney cruise line, Disneyland to name a few places... I think we'll still use our DVC points, no problem!

We live a couple of hours from WDW. There have been numerous times that we have gotten up on Saturday morning, decided we wanted to go to Disney for the day/night, and called to book a room on the way. We use all of our DVC points every year. On top of our DVC stays, we take advantage of the great FL resident rates at the non-DVC resorts several times a year.
