DVC and DDP with linked ressies?

Hi guys

I'm hoping someone here would have experience with this. We have a cash ressie ( First night only ) linked with ( next 5 nights ) points and have the ddp for both ressies . If we go to a signature restaurant on the cash night ( first night there)will the credits be linked together or we would have to go to a single credit place to eat that first night?

OK, need a little more info, how long are you staying on points, how long on cash, which is first and when are you eating the Signature meal.

Ok, I understand your problem now. Thought maybe the cash night was at the end of your trip.

And now I can say, I honestly don't know if they will advance you your DVC stay points when you check in for the cash ressie or if you will be given only the plan for that night and the others the next day. As long as you pay for both when you check in they should. That will be the question, will they let you go ahead and pay for both on the first day.

Member services should be able to tell you for sure. Sorry that I could not help.

I was told it would be 2 separate ressies with 2 separate dining plans.

Assuming the cash night is through MS and is truly linked to the points (same EXACT unit type), it is treated as one reservations just like you linked two points reservations. That means you'll have to get the DDP for the entire time as one reservation. If the unit type were different in any way, it is not truly a linked reservation. If through CRO, they can't truly be linked and you couldn't get the DDP at all for the cash night but it doesn't sound like this applies to your situation.

I had a similar situation and was told by a CM that they are two seperate plans. Also, all points from the first nights DDP would expire by midnight on the next day. So, if you are arriving later in the day on the first night and are not going to use your CS or snack credits, make sure you use the first DDP card on the 2nd day. (does this make sense?) You'll have until midnight to use the credits. Save the second DDP card for the rest of your trip.

The Reservations are both through MS . We will pay cash for our first night at Yachtsman and then use the 1st credits the second night starting our 3rd day (2nd day on 2nd ressie ) we will have all our credits which we can then use for Flying Fish and/or Jinko's ........ or not get DDP the first night still pay cash gosh the options , no wonder why we all spend so much time planning !!!!!

I think you'll find you MUST get it for the first night since the reservations are linked.
