DVC Afghan makes the "Vacation Magic"

I know I don't post here that often, but I'm very excited to learn that my afghan and myself, and the managers at OKW, made it into Vacation Magic. I still haven't gotten mine yet though!

I can't wait till they post the PDF version on the web site.

Anyhow, now, I'm just dying for someone to see the afghan hanging at Turtle Crawl at OKW...no one has seen it yet! So, if someone sees it, can they please post where they've seen it at....

Darla, I've seen it. It wasn't hanging yet when DH and I saw it. We asked when we were checking in to see it. I had seen you post on another board. Congrats! It is very beautiful.
I also haven't gotten VM yet. I sopose even us new members that joined this year will eventually get it. Have my fingers crossed.

Thanks Everyone. I'm very excited about OKW Displaying it, but as far as I know, NO ONE has seen it displayed at OKW yet. I'll let you all know when I hear that someone has spotted it. So, anyone heading south soon, might not be able to see it

I'm not taking orders, although, I have to say, the offer for points in exchange for the afghan, was one of the best offers I've gotten.....

Seriously though, It's a lot of work, and I don't even have one for myself, maybe this winter, I will attempt to make another.

Anyone interested, this is how I made it:

I took an OLD DVC Logo, from on-line, and I enlarged it, to an 8 x 10 size. Then, I created a grid.....using Excel, with really small cels. I printed that grid, then recycled it through the printer again, this time printing the 8 x 10 of the DVC Logo. That gave me the pattern to crochet the afghan. I used one single Crochet per square....it could be used for needle points too, or cross stitch. Anyhow, it took a few tries, and then it seemed to work.

I still did not receive my Vacation Magic, but another friend is sending me her's....she is sending it so I can give it my Mother...LOL, Mom will think it's neat! I hope to still recieve mine, it's just a matter of time! I can't wait! I was able to see a scan of it. It does look great!
