DVC advance planning

I was a little bored this afternoon, and what better way to fill my time than planning the next three years of my life (which all revolves around DVC vacations)! We will be starting with our first DVC trip this fall at AKV, OKW in Jan 2012 for hubby and me, Aug 2012 with the kids, Oct 2012 me and my sister, skip 2013, and spend my 40th birthday at Aulani in August 2014!! I hope it all works out as well as it has in my head!! I know it all depends on resort availability etc. etc.... but here's hoping.

How far ahead have you planned?

Hmm...

I have booked October 2011.

That's it for DVC.

But I have a lot of other things planned. Disney tends to get less advance planning then my other vacations (Punta Cana Christmas 2011 for example )

Oh looks like you have a lot of fun vacations planned....I hope your able to book everything you want.....

We have our sept 2011 trip booked for my daughters 21st birthday she wanted to be there for the food and wine festival .........as far as advanced planning spoke with my brother today..he also owns DVC and we are probably going to try and do a 20plus family trip over Columbus day weekend 2012

Right now we just have Aulani in November 2011 planned. Planning for us, going forward, depends on when Aulani starts selling again! We have a small contract at AKV and planned on adding on a larger contract at Aulani. We used our 2011 and all but 2 of our 2012 AKV points for the November Aulani trip.

If the dues at Aulani end up being significantly higher then they were originally scheduled to be, we will have to rethink that purchase. Either we will add on somewhere in WDW or leave our contract as is. If we do not add on, we won't have the points to do the WDW trip we want till 2013. If we do add on, we will probably do another Aulani trip in 2012 and then WDW (at AKV Savannah View) in 2013.
