DVC 800 # always busy

Why is that number suddenly unavailable?... when i attempt to login on the member website it tells me I am loged in at another website and doesn't let me proceed. I have been trying to reach tech support for over a week and all I get is a busy signal..... what is the deal?...

The number is always extremely busy in January as people are making their 11-month reservations for the very busy, popular, December 2008 vacation dates.

For the website issue, try goin to another Disney site, like disneyworld.com and logging out. You can also try deleting you the cookies.

DVC really needs to alter its policy on all the day by day bookings that go during this time. I have been trying to book a simple three day cruise and can't get through... very frustrating... I understand why everyone is doing this, however, they need to change the system. Maybe they can establish a period of time 11 months out which members could call in and book thier dates all at once for the peak seasons versus calling disney for 8 straight days or more to book a holiday vacation. Just my thoughts.... the current system is by far the most inefficient for all.

I got through on the 407 number. Today, I did try the 800 number a few times, but always got the busy signal.

Called today and after one busy signal got through but when connected to member services was told my appoximate wait time was 20 minutes. I have experienced busy signals the last couple of months as well as long wait times.
Just speculation, but I think DVC has reduced staffing for this activity, therefore, busy signals and unsually long wait times.

I speculate that the new weekend hours have required shifting of staff to weekends to avoid the cost of hiring new staff for weekends. Same number of CMs divided over more days = busy signals.

Start dialing at 8:58 am listen to the recording and at the end it will send you to MS without waiting. I've done this for the last 7 days and had no problems at all.
