DVA for AP renewal?

Has anyone renewed their AP's using a DVA account? I know it can be used for ticket purchases but I was not sure about renewals. Hoping someone has had experience with this.

I haven't used it for my renewal, but the account works exactly like a gift card. Just call Disney and have them use the funds in your account to make the purchase.
