DV free movie screening

I was just checking on my Disney Visa offers, and there is going to be a free movie screening available for Princess Diaries 2. You have to sign up on July 7th to see if it's in your town & see if you can get tickets.

I logged into the First USA webpage and checked my Disney Visa account balance. On the left side of the page, it listed Disney's Movie Screenings

Here is the info:
" If you love Disney movies, then you're in luck. As a Disney's Visa Cardmember, you have the unique opportunity to take advantage of this new benefit.
This will be the first of many movie preview screenings to come, and we wanted to make sure to kick off this new benefit for you with a big blockbuster. The best part is, you will be able to see this movie before it is made available to the public! So come and join us to see:

Saturday, August 7 @ 10am"


Please check back July 7, 2004 at 10 AM PST, for more information about the participating cities and to submit your request for your invitation to the Princess Diaries 2 preview screening.

I just emailed Disney for my free movie passes. I will post when I get notice when I get the email that will let me know if I recv'd the passes or not.

FYI: Here is what the firstusa website instructed me to do:

mail to c3.callcenter@disney.com
in subject line, write Princess Diaries 2 City
(for example, i wrote Princess Diaries 2 Philadelphia)
The website lists the cities that will show the film - major cities only are listed.

in the body of the email, include your name, address, phone number, and the last four digits of your Disney Visa card.

I sent mine in too. I hope I didn't send it in too early, but the list of cities was up as were all the instructions. I think it was almost 11 am CST when I sent it in.

Will someone post as soon as they hear back from Disney so we can get an idea of how long it takes for the response?

This is the first time in a long time one of these free screening offers is not being offered in my area! I really wanted to take my DD to see this for free too!

I signed up for one, but the closest place is about 4 hours away. To see a movie for free, I'll have to take the whole family away for a weekend!!

Not yet. I put in my request yesterday @1:10PST. From the wording, it sounds like once the all theater seats in your city are requested, then they'll send out the emails if you won.

When I've gotten tickets this way in the past (used to be done through Disney Club), I usually received an email with the pass about a week to two weeks before the screening. -HM

When I did 'Brother Bear" and HM, it took a while for the email to show up.

Thanks for bumping this....... I had a choice of Charlotte or Atlanta- and they're both about the same distance from here.

me either, but there is still more then two weeks until the screening. I am just afraid that it will go to my spam/junk foloder which recieves close to 300 messages a day, so I do not have the time to go through each message to see if this is it.

I haven't received anything either but noticed when I checked the link again that the city I requested is no longer listed. I hope that means they have enough requests to fill the theater and not that there will be no showing there. I'll keep my fingers crossed!
