Has anyone ever gone over the 'duty-free' limit of alcohol that they brought back on their cruise?
Just wondering how much the extra duty/taxes are for each bottle.

we had just bought an oak bar for our home and i wanted to stock it, so i brought along a cheap footlocker from target and filled it (cushioned with clothes and bubble wrap). i claimed every bit of it and did'nt pay over $10.00. if you are fond of a particular liquor (or want to give these as gifts) you cannot beat buying them while you cruise. i still have several bottles left (circa 2001) of the fu-fu stuff like godiva and grand marnier so my purchases will not be nearly as high on our next trip..............unless i find the scotch my hubby drinks, and i decide to stock up on jack daniels
