I decided to treat my coworkers today with some Dunkin' Donuts. They had very few varieties, and far less space for donuts than I remember. Have they cut back on varieties?

I go to DD a lot, but I use the drive thru for iced coffee.

I think the don't have blueberry bagels anymore. Everytime DH goes in, they don't have them, or the name of the shelf. Who gets rid of BLUEBERRY? Especially in July? :confused3

We've had that by us too. Not just the big ones but the little ones too. I remember when we could get a ton of flavors in the Munchkins, nowadays they just make 4 or so flavors and the filled ones are never on the menu... I used to love the jelly ones.

I didn't see ANY jelly donuts or munchkins.... I think I saw about 8 - 10 varieties.... let's see if I can remember them all:

1. Old Fashioned ( cake )
2. Sour Cream
3. Glazed
4. Boston Cream
5. Chocolate Glazed
6. Blueberry Cake
7. A donut with pink icing and sprinkles
8. Cinnamon
9. White Powder

And that is all I can remember seeing. Well, that, and munchkins.

No jelly donuts?????? That's downright sinful! :headache::headache:

Aw, man, I could scarf an entire box of jelly Munchkins! I haven't had an actual donut there in a long time...nothing appetizing. Once in a while, they might have a blueberry- or apple-filled...

My mother can't get one of those coffee rolls either anymore. We just get drinks now.

I went a few weeks ago. I hadn't had a donut in months and it just sounded good. They didn't have jelly filled or anything with a crunchy coating like the peanut covered ones. I ended up with a whole wheat bagel and an iced tea. At almost $4 it will be a long time before I go back.

vanilla and chocolate creme filled ones are my favorite, but they never have them anywhere. i've noticed that they've become pretty boring with the donut selection lately too.

I have read that they want to focus more on coffee and sandwiches.

I noticed that at our local one as well.

I miss the marshmallow flavored coffee they had a few years ago when they came out with that huge variety of coffee flavors.

I also noticed they don't sell french cruellers at our Dunkin Donuts-it's the only kind of donut I really enjoy.

I despise the new frozen drinks-blech

Love the flatbread breakfast sandwiches!

Dunkin' Donuts just opened last year right outside of our subdivision. They do have the creme filled but they don't taste like they used to, I'm pretty sure they are filled with canned cake frosting, I just can't take them, way too sweet.

Ours normally has about 15 different varieties. I usually only get maple frosted and cruellers. We have a local place in town that has the best donuts ever, they are made from potatoes! They are a local legend!

Wow, you guys are right, and I never even realized it. We don't get them often, but we always used to just tell the clerk to mix them up. I remember my kids would fight over the chocolate and vanilla cream filled, and I would end up with the apple filled ones because no one else wanted them. Now I'm bummed---and I want a donut.

Around here the smaller ones(the ones at the gas stations) have smaller choices. But we have the Mac Daddy one that has all the beauties- M&M donut the Oreo donut, powdered Jelly, sugared Jelly, cinnamon donuts, you name it they have it! (unfortunately for my waistline) Maybe I should start biking there? But then how would I balance the dozen?

They don't even have fresh donuts at the DD around us anymore. They are all cooked 40 miles away and trucked in. If you don't get there when they arrive it's too bad. What they end up with isn't very fresh. To top it all off, they close at 10PM! For us it's either Tim Horton's or Irving now. I used to love DD coffee, and I don't care for it anymore, either. It usually tastes as thought it's been brewed 3 days ago.

Like we need another Starbucks clone.

I occasionally like their donuts, especially when I don't want alot of sweet.... Usually I get Krispy Kreme.

so i'm guessing they'll be changing their name soon to "dunkin' deli"?

:lmao:

:rotfl:It's so funny you said that because there is a D&D in Watertown, MA-near where I used to live-& they sell deli sandwiches as well. There is actually an advertisement in the window that says something like "Stop in for lunch to our Dunkin' Deli!" They have been serving deli sandwiches for years-way before the flatbread sandwiches came out.

Lived my whole life in New England....I have now been one year in CA....there are NO Dunkin's in CA....:sad1: Guess what my FIRST stop will be when I land in BEANTOWN on Wed? :goodvibes

And oh my....sounds like they have made some changes at DD's as I read this thread....:sad2:
