What happens if you are sitting down to eat in DCA, and suddenly realize the park closes in 10 minutes and you have 3 very slow eaters to feed? Do the CM's chase everyone out of the park, or do the rides and restaraunts just close and stop serving? Some of our plans, I have noticed, include eating dinner at CA, and it closes at 6 most days when we are there.

I think that they usher you and your family over to the Tortilla Factory and put you to work on the Tortilla machines for the rest of the night.;)

I think you will find that most restaurants won't be open 10 minutes prior to closing. I believe they start closing a bit earlier than the parks do. However, if you are still in a restaurant in DCA and eating at park closing, no, they won't chase you out. You can take your time and finish and leisurely stroll out of the empty park afterward.

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: we would eat them out of tortillas

MMMMM....Tortillas.....aaaaggggg (tongue lolling out a la Homer Simpson....):rotfl:

Can I ask why you would be eating at DCA and not at better places in DTD or DL? DCA doesn't have the greatest food options IMO. Unless you have a PS for one of the sit down restaurants. In that case of course they aren't going to rush you out and you definitely won't be alone.

Mainly for convenience - we are wanting to just grab a quick bite, and not waste too much time and energy walking all the way to DTD (though I must confess I don`t really have a good idea of how far the walk to DTD actually IS!) If we find we have lots of time on our hands, and we are getting done as much as we wish, we probably would head to DTD or over to DL for a nicer dining experience!;)

I have to disagree!!! there may not be a great number of options but if I do not get a hot dog and chili fries at award wieners I go crazy every trip!
and then there is healthy options at pacific wharf cafe!

There may not be as many fabuloso places to eat, but we make sure to grab one of those huge and incredibly bad for you corn dogs whenever we are at DCA! Yumm yumm gimme some!

Walking out of DCA, take a left, walk about a minute, and you're in DTD. :thumbsup2

I agree with your disagreeing. :)

I loved my meal at the Trattoria (though charging more for a pint of beer than I pay for a 6 pack of the same beer is a bit annoying!), and I love love love the vegetarian chili in a breadbowl at Pacific Wharf cafe. Those are 2 of the 3 places we've eaten at DCA, which means that I can whole heartedly recommend 2/3 of the places there. :) (just stay away from Pizza oom mow mow)

And since I can only recommend 1/2 of the places we've eaten at in DTD, DCA wins! :) (only eaten at two places in DTD by the way)

I agree I love Trattoria, I just ate there on Tuesday and the week before its one of my favorites and has good prices.

I get my wine next door because some of the best CM's ever work there! And the wine is YUMMY!

Yes! If I don't get a Boudin sourdough bowl with soup I will be pretty upset...

well, if its really past the time, they will usher you out of the park.

but hey, the question aint that dumb. I been there for a year and 6 months, i have gotten worst questions before... :)

like... "How do i get into Disney's California Adventure" when clearly they are already in Disney's California Adventure. :D
