Dumb question - what do you use to clean your lens?

I am sure this is a silly question, but I don't know what to get! I have a dslr that I got in April - I am not sure how to clean the front of the lens glass (what the lenscap covers). I just looked and it sure is dusty and dirty - any suggestions on what to use?

I am debating on ordering a lens from adorama.com and wanted to get something to clean my camera with - but I have no idea what. As of now - I have nothing - I'm assuming I need a rocket blower thingie and something else.....

Please help! :)

I use a lens pen and a microfiber cleaning cloth.

On one end of the lens pen is a brush, on the other side is a little pad that has some sort of wet cleaning solution in it. Works well for the lens, as well as for cleaning anything out of the viewfinder or off of your LCD screen. The cleaning cloth I use over my shirt mostly because the material is softer and seems to make all of the little dust pieces cling to it.

I've tried to use my shirt before when I forgot the other things at home and the cotton from my shirt left more fibers no the lens than it took off.

Normally I just get an extra one of those cloths that you get when you order a pair of glasses or get a new glasses case. I tuck it my camera bag so it's always handy. I'm not sure it's officially approved of but my theory is, if won't scratch my glasses then it should be alright for my lens.

I bought a little lens cleaning kit from Ritz. I think it was $5, maybe $10. It has lens papers, lens spray cleaner, blower w/brush and a microfiber cloth. Works very well. I also use my shirt often but I do have filters on my lenses. I don't think I'd do it if I didn't.

i have a lens pen as well( $10 or less) and use the walmart lens cleaner spray ( think it's like 1.99 and free refills for life) with a microfiber cloth for something stuck on there( which doesn't happen often). an ophthalmologist told me the best way to scratch a lens in your glasses was to clean them with a dry cloth or something like your tee shirt which is why i wet the cloth or the lens but i don't know if it's really necessary to do so.

Lens pen and mircofiber cleaning cloth.

A puff from a Giotto Rocket Air Blower and a lens cloth or microfiber. I sometimes use a lens pen if handy. I always try to remove the loose dirt first with air or brush so as not to scratch the lens with wiping.
