I know this is probably very dumb but how do you stop water bottles from getting everything wet? I will be carrying a VB backpack. We will have a stroller so I know I can put the bottles in the cup holder but if I'm on the bus, I don't want to be holding freezing cold bottles. Plus I also have a water mister that I put ice and water in and that sweats too. I have used a washcloth with a rubber band but then the wash cloth gets wet. I told you this was a dumb question :rotfl:

We are going in July so we definitely will be freezing bottles to take with us.

What do you do?

Thanks.

Not a dumb question at all. I find those neoprene bottle sleeves/slingers help a lot. I found mine ar Target and I am sure Amazon has them too.

invest in a Hydroflask. They are a bit pricey, but they don't sweat. They are absolutely amazing. Water will stay ice cold even in a hot car for 24 hours or more. We have found that we can't even put a lot of ice in it because the ice doesn't melt.

You can get them refilled all over the parks for free.

I wrap my water bottles in a bandana - It absorbs the water and keeps your hands from getting cold and wet or keeps your back pack dry.

We had one of those coolers that attaches to the stroller frame that we kept our water bottles in. It stays on the stroller while it's folded, with the bottles in it. We loaded it up before we left in the morning, it held 6 bottles, and never had any sweaty bottle issues.

Igloo MaxCold backpack cooler. Around $20 or $25 at Target. It's not so cold in there that it will keep the bottles frozen all day, but you won't care if they sweat because they won't be in a normal backpack.

If it is in your budget try and get a Contigo Double Wall Tritan" Water Bottle. They rock! Honestly no leaking, double wall so no sweating, and it keeps the water relatively cool.

Otherwise, wrap in paper towels and place in large gallon size zip lock bags

I just stuck our frozen waterbottles into a gallon size ziplock bag. Kept the backpacks dry and then we had a ziplock in case we had to put wet clothes in to bring home later in the day. (we tend to do late night trips down Splash Mountain, lol)

Neoprene holders work OK, but can absorb the water over time. I would purchase a double walled water bottle. They have them on line. Basically the air between the two walls keeps them from sweating. You can freeze the contents by leaving in the freezer without the cover. I'm not sure what stores you have around you. We bought our at REI.

I've never heard of this. Do you have a picture? & Where did you find this? Please share :0)

Check out Hydro Flask! Love mine. No sweat, vacuum insulated and stay cold all day. They are popular here on the Dis and I think you can actually specify some of your purchase to go towards a Give Kids the World donation :)

Sorry for the resurrection... but, where can I get neoprene (or thelike) water bottle slings?
Anne

My kids had the double insulated thermos bottles and they didn't sweat. Dh and I had the insulated plastic ones (we use on our bikes) I knew they would sweat so I just put them in a gallon zip lock bag. Nothing ever got wet.

I looked at the neoprene holders on amazon. They had them in tons of colors but some reviews weren't very promising. Some said they smelled and some said they stretched. But that was for one that went over the shoulder.
