Okay I know this is probably a rideculous question, but can we finance a cruise? Other than through a bank or credit card? Like, does Disney do a finance??

LOL I know I know I shouldn't be thinking about a cruise if I can't pay cash.... but damn, we're moving to Turkey in 3 months and I SOOOOOO want to take another cruise before we go!!! Man, once you've been on the DCL, it is VERY addictive!

Well, DCL will take payments toward your balance due, but at final payment date, everything must be paid for (in DCLs eyes). They won't let you pay a little, take the cruise, and finish paying it off. It must be paid for before you cruise.

:cutie:

As the pp said, you can book the cruise, pay the deposit, and then make payments on it until the PIF date (which is 75 days prior to sailing), at which time the balance (if any) is due. But no arrangements can be made to take the cruise and then make payments to pay it off.

As the PP said you can make monthly payments to DCL if that would help up til the PIF date. If you want to save a little money (it's not a lot but still some) you can buy Disney Gift cards at Target if you have their 'Red' card (Target's Store credit card). If you buy $1000 worth of gift cards you save $50. Again, not a lot but something.

I normally don't sign up for store CCs but the Target one is great since you get 5% off almost everything in the store PLUS gift cards (non Target ones!). Disney, Starbucks, iTunes, etc...

Hmmm.. So I went to see about the Disney Visa reward card, and I can't even apply??? It keeps saying the page can't be found. Does Chase no longer offer that card???

if you were to book it well in advance- pay a little at a time like others suggested and then o the remainder on the card- you'd get 6 months 0% on that- so it's like financing in that you are paying gradually. Just an idea!

We love our Disney Visa! We use it for everything and use the rewards points for our spending fund on our trips (DCL or WDW). I really love the 6 months free financing as well!

I just upgraded to the Premier card in April. I don't like paying an annual fee for cards (this one is $49) but I receive 5% rewards on groceries, gas, restaurants and DISNEY for the first 90 days. Which was the timefram in paying off our cruise. So, the bonus points made the decision very easy!

The Op said he was moving to Turkey in 3 months. Obviously he wants to take cruise NOW. Making payments is not an option for all of you that suggested that. I would look at that Disney visa or some other cc that offers 0% interest. There are lots of them out there.
