Will shelled peanuts stay fresh in a cookie jar?
I have a cute Nightmare Before Christmas Cookie jar that my mother gave me for Christmas last year and I never use it, it's currently just sort of a decorative thing. My OTHER nightmare before Christmas cookie jar currently is filled to the brim with Monty Dog's cookies.
Our cookies, I've noticed, tend to get stale pretty fast when stored in these types of cookie jars so they actually just stay in seal tight jars or in the packaging they came in.
My mom got Chris a HUGE bag of peanuts, and I'm trying to figure out a good way to store them cause it's going to take him a while to get through this bag so I was thinking of storing them in the cookie jar that is not being used.
Good idea? Bad idea? What do you think?
