I'm on the fence about buying 25 points on resale as a first time owner so I can go to a resort once every 2 years for 3 nights or so. I really don't need to go to WDW more often than that.
Here's my problem / concern:
I save up 50 points over 2 years. In 2011, I use 47 points to stay in a studio at Beach Club for one weekend night and 2 weekday nights.
I now save up for another 2 years and go to WDW in 2013 again. If I bank the 3 extra points in 2011 to 2012, but don't go to WDW in 2012 (cause I was just there in 2011), I lose those 3 points forever. Right?
IE... from what I can tell, there is no way for me to keep my extra 3 points until I go again, right? So I'll always lose *some* points and there is nothing I can do about it?
How do other members deal with this? Can I do ANYTHING with the 3 points that I would lose?
I imagine it's "easier" if you go every year. But I'm in Los Angeles and, while DVC sounds appealing, I'm not flying across the country every year to go to WDW.
Thanks for any advice!
