Received our ME books yesterday - don't want to mess things up, and not sure about one thing...

There are 4 of us traveling - we received 16 luggage tags in 2 seperate books. But all the tags are identical - - same ID number - so can I use the tags traveling to Orlando coming back, or do I need to put on new tags? Not sure If I'm making sense here. It seems excessive to have 4 tags apiece, but not if we need to put on new tags to come home. :confused3

I would guess you simply received a duplicate book.

There's no need for DME luggage tags for your return trip. The only thing the tags are used for is getting the luggage pulled behind-the-scenes at MCO so they don't go out onto the baggage carousel and instead get directly routed to your WDW resort.

On your return, if you use a participating airline you'll get an official airline/TSA luggage routing tag when you do the resort check-in (the exact same tag you'd have out on at the airport, the kind with the three-letter airport code, etc.), and if you use a non-participating airline your luggage won't be tagged at all until you check it in at MCO. Either way, there's absolutely no use for DME luggage tags for your return trip.

I thought they only put 4 tickets in the book. THE TAGS DON'T GET CUT, they are long, you remove the backing in the top and bottom of the tag, fold over the handle and stick the two ends together. If what I'm posting, and the instructions, don't make sense ask the person who's checking your bags at the airport to put the ME tags on for you.
