Ok we never carry on anything other than the laptop, camera and my purse. We are checked luggage people but we just booked a short trip for next wee and I am not about to pay $35 a bag to check anything for 4 days. So I've read the TSA site about carry on liquids and searched thru a few pages here and don't see it so my dumb question is: what about deodorant? It's not really a liquid but will I need to buy one of those small tiny travel sticks of it or can I just take my regular sized stick?

Thanks

A solid stick deodorant does not need to be smaller than 3 oz. and does not have to go in your 3-1-1 bag. A roll-on deodorant generally will be a liquid and would have to follow the liquid/gel guidelines.

A good rule of thumb is to ask yourself if the item will hold it's shape if taken out of the container. If the answer is yes, it does not need to follow the 3-1-1 rule.

I use Mitchum Gel and the regular sized container is under 3 oz. I was really surprised.
