Well, turns out the Duffy bag was still too big and cumbersome, but luckily I had a brainstorm: I would just modify an extra WDW purchase with purchase bag.
I had bought like four of them in 2009 and did not give them all away.
The key was having enough Duffy ribbon. I miscalculated at first, but nothing a small geegaw would not hide.
DD is thrilled and I am patting myself on the back because I was able to pull it together in a few hours. Ironing the ribbon in place and sewing around the Duffy patch (printed on fabric using my home printer) took the most time.
