Dues

Hello everyone!
I have a question I hope some can help me with.

We are prepairing to purchase 150 points with a use year in December (directly from Disney). We will be receiving 150 points from December 2002. My question is: are we gonna be charged dues for those points? In other words, once we sign do we still have to pay the dues for these points upon signing?

It will be prorated according to the closing date.

Your dues are pro-rated for this year, and you will be sent a bill in January for the next year's dues. Everyone's dues are paid in January for the calendar year.

Let's just say you would close Aug 1, 2003. Your dues would be 5/12th of a year's dues.

When you buy direct from DVC, I believe the dues start on the date you pay your deposit, not the closing date. If you would call tomorrow and put your deposit down by phone, they would prorate from tomorrow. The flip side of that is you can make a reservation with those points tomorrow, you don't have to wait until closing.

Thanks. I think I understand. In other word we are charged foward for this calendar years dues, not backwards to when the points are assigned. From January to december.
