Dues - best way to get a discount

Hi! I just closed on my first dvc contract! (Resale) My dues for this year are already paid. I know I can pay dues with a gift card, and I can get a minimum of 5% of gc’s but usually get 10-12% off. Can I also use gift cards to pay if I set up a monthly auto pay? Or is that credit card only?

What are some ways that people are saving the most on dues? Gift cards discounted? A certain reward/cb credit card? Are there fees to auto pay monthly? Or any benefits of yearly vs monthly?

Using GC acquired through various promotions (10-15%) gets the best discount. Payment options are 100% in Jan (you have till Feb without penalty) with bank account tranfer, CC, or GC. If you chose monthly, you have to provide you bank account info and they set up an autopay. You can however, log into your account and pay early each month with a GC or CC. When the scheduled monthly payment date shows up, if there is no longer a payment due that month, they will not do the transfer.

I get discounted GC and use my Chase CC to get the $300 refund with I spend $300 on travel.

A lot of folks would rather make monthly payments rather than make one large lump sum payment right after the holidays which is when MFs are due if you pay them annually.

No fees for paying monthly so no benefit to paying annually. We have ours set up on monthly autopay but buy GCs each month with our Target Red Card 5% off and apply them before the 15th. We also apply our Disney Visa Rewards each month. Many years we’re able to pay our MFs off earlier in the year, and then we start working on a credit balance toward the next year.
