Dueling Dragons--to do or not to do???

I can't decide if I want to do DD or not, I like fast rolller coasters and don't mind loops either, but what I HATE is a slow climb to the top and then a huge drop where your bottom leaves the seat and you are sure you are going to fall out and crash to your death (ok, I'm being a little overdramtic--but you get the point). My DH rode DD in 2000 and he loved it, but he loves all rollercoasters. He says he can't remember exactly but thinks that the drops are sort of curved rather than a straight drop. I love Rockin' Roller coaster at Disney, if that helps any. So tell me about DD---any huge drops with your 'seat' leaving the seat???

Fire is my favorite of the two dragons and YES...you should definately do DD!

I never find that inverted coasters (coasters where the car is below the track like DD) ever give me that feeling you are describing. Certainly not DD. Their drops are definitely curved and you get the sensation of speed but not that great pit of the stomach feel. I love that feeling and hence am looking forward to Rockit.

The only example I can think of with "air time" on DD is on Ice right after the lift hill. There's a moment of air time coming down the first hill but that's about it.

Thaks guys, it sounds like I can ride it after all!!! So, Metro West said fire was his (or her) favorite, do the rest of you agree on that? Since there is a bit of air lift on ice, I'd probably prefer fire too, but can you actually go on the side you want?

Another question, so is the new rollercoaster at Univseral Rockit going to be an inverted roller coaster too? I think it will be open when we go, June 14 thru 18th, I can't wait to hear about the reviews on that coaster.

Actually, I have one more question---what about the hulk? Is this a ride I can do or not?

I know I get air in the back row of Fire.
My favorite is the front row of Ice!!
You can chose which side you want to ride each time.

I always forget which I like best, I think Ice... I find it more swoopy and less jerky.

I am hopeful for lots of air time on HR3

The Hulk has one moment of air time that I can think of on the back side...it lasts just a second though. Hulk is very smooth and very disorienting...which makes it fun!
