Which stay would you pick?

I booked a bounceback code during my recent trip to Disney. Me, my sis, and her 2 girls are hoping to do a quick trip this fall. And wouldn't you know it, today she gets a free dining code for the same time. So I'm just wondering, which would you choose? There is only a $45.56 between the 2 trips.

I voted for dining, but it depends on the age of the kids really. If they are younger (or haven't been to disney tons of times) I would go for the dining with character meals, the one on one experience with the characters is a big highlight for most younger kids. Now if they are older the mod resort with the pool slide might be a bigger deal to them.

I think we need more info... how long are you guys going to be going down for? That way we can figure out how much your ticket cost will be and then we'll be able to see the value (or non value) of getting free dining.

My nieces are 14 and 9. And they have been to Disney World 5 times already. I know the pool is a big deal to the younger nice, not so much my older niece.

I would choose the moderate offer because I just can't eat all the food in the free dining plan!! It's too much for me!!

I would go with the free dining, you are going to have to pay for food with the other room, so it will be more than a $45 difference.

I personally would go with the moderate setup. The dining plan ruined our trip this past January cause we were more worried about food than having fun. The reservation (ADR) planning alone takes too much effort, time and stress. We enjoy eating out but we felt we spent way too much time eating and talking about eating. My DS 8 was so upset when we would have to stop having fun and go and spend approx 2-3 hours having dinner (including travel time). But there are a lot of people here that really like it. I just will never do it again unless it is free and I get a room discount.

My Wife, our 8 friends and I had exactly the opposite expierence.

We had a spreadsheet with where we were eating every night, It was always at the park we were attending that day, and it was sooooo liberating knowing that we had gaurenteed reservations every night. We just cut loose and had fun, until my Alarm watch reminded me it was time to head to the resturant.

The previous trip we had no ADRs and we spent an hour or more every day either waiting in Resturant lobys or fighting with our concierge to try and get in somewhere.

For me the dining plan ia the only way to go.

You don't have to be on the dining plan to have all of your ADR's planned out. I agree with the poster about the dining plan causing headaches. I'd say about half of the time I spend waiting at a counter service restaurant, it is behind someone trying to figure out what is or isn't included in the dining plan when they are at the cash register.

The bounceback is a discount that Disney sometimes leaves in their resort rooms. If you book another stay before you check out, you get a discount. This time the bounceback was for September and October. DVC resorts were 40% off, Deluxe and Moderate resorts were 30% off.

I would do the value and dining.

1. It is cheaper and you get free dining. You don't have to plan your whole trip around the eating just because you have the plan. Keep it simple and don't fret about not using all your dining credits.

2. IMHO the moderates are not that much better than the values and you have two younguns who could care less about the room.
