Due to a change in policy at work, I won't be here much anymore

Some folks have expressed some concern about my recent absence from the DIS. I hadn't planned on posting anything (didn't want to do the YAGE thing), but I dont want people to think that I have left because I am mad or insulted. The reason I am no longer here much is that my employer has begun monitoring all web access and has disallowed the browsing of any sites that are not work related (seems we had some abuses of the privilage). I can get in a couple of mintutes here at lunch every week or so, but thats about it. Given that Mandy and I are booked most evenings these days with other obligations, that leaves no time for DISing.

Again, I want to stress that my disappearance is not driven by any recent events on the DIS or any other such thing. I simply find myself with no ability to spend the time here that I used to. I do miss this place and the friends I have made here, but I cant see the situation changing anytime soon.

This is not a goodbye. I'll still be around, just not very often (say once a week or so). So I wont have a chance to talk to my friends here like I used to. Thats what I am going to miss most of all. To all those who have engaged in thoughfull conversations with me on issues from faith to imagineering, I want to say thank you.

I have always respected you, enjoyed your posts and lately I have missed seeing you around. Thanks for letting us know, some people just drift away and you never really know why.
