Are a years dues due on the 1st of the year? or the last?

What I'm trying to figure out is: If you are paying your dues monthly, are you actually paying your dues for the following year? or the current year?

You are paying dues on a calendar year basis. Dues coming out of your checking account are for the current calendar year. If you pay in lump sum it is in advance, in January, for that year.

If you choose to pay in a lump sum instead of monthly, here's the "blurb".

Payment is due in full by 01/15/xx and considered past due the earlier of check in at the resort or 2/15/xx.

Does DVC tack on a surcharge for debiting your checking account on a monthly basis?

(still thinkin' about it)

There are no additional charges when using direct debit. However, they may add charges if a debit is refused by the bank. I don't know this for sure, but that is a standard term in those types of agreements.

Mitymott, I inquired about charging my dues to my non Disney credit card last year and was told that wasn't permitted. Please let me know if they've changed their policy. Thanks

Member accounting only accepts Visa and Mastercard. So, if you were trying to charge your dues to American Express or Discover Card, that's why you were denied. I pay my dues in one lump sum, and I've always charged it to my Mastercard with no problems.

Me, too. :teeth:

I didn't know you could charge your dues to your Disney Visa. This is great news.

:bounce:

Thanks, John
