Dudley Do Right Drop Question?

It looks like there are two 'drops' side by side, but on videos I only ever see the left hand (as you face watching the ride) being used. Is the other drop just for show, or do they use that too?

The second one is used too, during peak times mostly. They divide right before the drop, then they meet back together after unload, allowing for two sides of unloading.
