Dude, wheres my underwear? My first every TR!

While on the bus to Epcot I was sitting across 2 couples, who spent the entire trip complaining about Disney. No one has to like Disney. But 4 people in their late 50’s (at one point 3 of them said their ages) should go elsewhere if they don’t like it. I was just confused. No one made them come, why go and then complain?

Anyway, by the time we got to Epcot I still had a headache but otherwise was ok. I just moved slower than I wanted to. I called Dan and he said they were in China so I headed over. We ended up going to another Agent P mission. We had some stuff to eat from the F&W but Kevin didn’t like any of it. We were in Germany so I went in to grab a dark chocolate caramel, I only had a bite since I was sick but it was amazing! By the time I felt better it had been eaten.

At around 8:30 I decided to look up restaurants. I LOVE the Disney Parks APP, I wish some things worked differently but otherwise it was great. We found some open times after Illuminations, and decided on Japan.

Dan asked if that was ok and I said I was suddenly very hungry and wanted food. So he ran ahead to make the reservation and Kevin and I walked over to meet him. While we were waiting we looked around Japan some more, and then found a seat to wait. Kevin realized the fireworks would start and flipped out, but Dan convinced him to just wait and see. We had about 5 minutes left and Dan had an idea, he went for a walk and came back and said he found us a spot. We left out seats and followed.

Up behind Japan is a little walkway, I was able to see but the building blocked a lot of the sound from Kevin. It wasn’t the best view, but it worked. There was a CM there, and I’m not sure we were really supposed to stay where we were to watch but she didn’t say anything. After Illuminations was over she came over and gave Kevin a small glow cube for being brave. I guess she heard us convincing him to stay, it was very much appreciated.

Our ADR was for 9:40 so we walked a little more then came back to check in around 9:30. We ended up not being sat until after 10, which was ok but I was hungry by then! So we go to our table and there is another group with us. We didn’t talk to them much, but they were loud and obnoxious. At one point making fun of the staff to their faces, another time bragging about bombing Japan. Dude!?!? So we didn’t really WANT to sit and chat, but I looked at Dan and mouthed “their accents” and he nodded that I was right.

They were from New Jersey. Northern New Jersey. Where we are from.

As the meal went on they confirmed it by talking about local stuff, which is funny cause they were wrong about a lot of it. We got our dessert to go, cause I wasn’t very hungry and cause they were now drunk and obnoxious. Kevin on his birthday pin, and of course this was the one time they brought him a special dessert. We sang happy birthday and then BEGGED him to eat fast. It was 11 by the time we left.

We stepped outside and I turned to Dan and yelled “NO WONDER PEOPLE THINK NJ IS FULL OF *******S!” *ok, I didn’t yell it that loud and there was no one else around* Seriously, they are the kind of people that give us such a bad reputation. We really are not all that obnoxious!!

So after our less than great meal we started to head out. Walking out of WS was kind of eerie, I think we passed 5 people along the way. I was going to go on a ride on the way out but we were pretty tired so decided to skip it. We got to the bus stop just as one was coming in. Perfect timing! We got back to the room right before midnight and Kevin got settled right into bed.

Once he was sleeping we realized the late night was bad! We had an 8am ADR tomorrow!! So I changed that to 10:15 and headed into bed myself.
Despite having a horrible start to the day, it ended great. I finally got to see my favorite show and we did get to spend some time together having fun.
