Dude Thread[;

Thomas Jones is awesome...he got over 1000 even with a terrible line from last year. And with Leon Washington and Jason Chatham.

Last year McCarins(however you spell it) was a joke, but Brad Smith was our jump ball reciever and he had a great season until both Pennington and Clemens got hurt, which is when he had to play QB.

And our RT was bad last year in was more of our LT which is Ferguson. He let up way too many sacks and also the one which got Pennington hurt. And anyway we signed Woody.

The D-Line was horrible last year but we improved it a lot this off-season.

And I dont think you remember Justin Miller, he got injured last year and was out the last 14 games. But I have been hearing that he is healed up and performing very well.

So I do believe we have a chance at a Super Bowl.

Thomas Jones has aged another year. Ohh yeah.. his yards per carry last year even with a bad line was still only 3.6... thats terrible. Kenny Watson, the bengals BACKUP running back played behind an injured line last year, yet got 4.2 yards per carry. go look at some mock drafts.. everyone is giving you a RB [beanie wells, ohio state or knowshon moreno from georgia]

Brad Smith is nothing more than a #4 WR. Jump ball WRs dont do you any good until you get inside the twenty. you need someone who can help cotchery stretch the field.

Damien Woody is not a step-up at all. he's a bad pass blocker & an average run blocker. there is a reason detroit let him go this season & drafted gosder cherilus to replace him.. because he is terrible. you will need an upgrade for sure.

How did you d-line improve a lot? yeah it improved by adding kris jenkins & getting rid of d-rob, but the DEs are still only average.

justin milller is nothing more than a #3 CB & KR. he struggled covering bigger WRs & got pushed around by more physical ones. unless he drastically improves, a RCB is a need.

oh yeah... Pennington is average & clemmons is a backup QB at best. Brett Favre is needed badly..

3.6 yards is average...and if you had watched the Jets games you could see that even though he he only got little amounts he barely could move when we ran inside or outside. So we relied on short passes...and Thomas Jones and Leon Washington got a lot of catches.

Yes Brad Smith isn't all that great but when he is on the field everyone is thinking trick play...because he lines up in 3 positions(WR,QB, and RB). And he isn't afraid to go through the middle unlike the Bengals excluding Houshmanzadeh( He helped me a lot in Fantasy Football)

When I went to see them practice at Hofstra the D-Line was full of energy unlike last year, so that is a major sign to me that things have changed.

Justin Miller was pushed around but he has gotten a lot better in the off-season...and we have really good Safeties if they get over the top.

And Chad Pennington is a very good QB, he never has enough time to pass though thats why he always checks down to the RBs. But I agree Clemens is nothing more than a back-up though but he had a good run against the Ravens.

That's the problem. 3.6 is ONLY average. Look at all the teams to win a SB the past few years & how good their RBs are. NYG have Brandon Jacobs, Colts have Addai, Pats have Maroney & had Corey Dillon.. something similar is that they are all very good backs that average over 4 YPC.. something jones doesnt. I know plenty about leon washington, being im a huge FSU fan. but, he is undersized & cannot carry a full load. he is limited to being a backup & 3rd down RB. And short passes are pretty much the same thing as running... too bad jones isnt that great of a pass catcher out of the backfield & if you have washington in there every play then the teams will know its going to be a pass & just run a cover-2 all day which would shut down any offense you have.

How many times do NFL teams run trick plays a game? one or two at most. no one is thinking "OMG Brad Smith! Trick Play!".. they are going to stay in their man or zone & see how the play progresses. this isnt college football when you can trick even the best of defenses. thats great he isnt afraid to go over the middle, but he also isnt a good fit in the slot.. and dont bring the bengals into this. houshmanzadeh isnt the only one who will go over the middle. antonio chatman was injured for most of last season because he got hit going over the middle & hurt his ACL. chad johnson was destroyed by ed reed last year by going over the middle.. but got right back up & was in the next play. the bengals offense isnt designed for Chad & Chris Henry [who isnt even on the team anymore] to go over the middle. it has nothing to do with not wanting to. the TE is usually running a post over the middle..

a lot of team's defenses look really energetic. one of the brighest spots of bengals camp has been how well our DTs have been stuffing the run. they also said that last year, but we all know how poorly our DTs, excluding Peko, played last year. I'll reserve further judgement until i see them in action against the pats, who have a solid offensive line.

how can you get that much better in the offseason? he's coming off a major injury & all you have seen are OTAs, which dont mean anything, & a week or two of camp.. plus he has been going against cotchery.. who lets face it isnt the best #2 WR in the league. wait until he has to go against chad jackson or wes welker of the pats before we declare him "improved"

Oh yeah, Kerry Rhodes is EASILY the most underrated safety in the league. I honestly have him as my #3 overall safety in the league behind Adrian Wilson & Ed Reed. the fact that he hasnt made a pro-bowl yet shows how much of a popularity contest it is.

Pennington is an average QB at best. he is also coming off a major surgery & has never shown the ability to throw the deep ball. he best asset is his accuracy, but throwing short passes wont do you good once a team recognizes it. Average QBs dont take you to the SB though. history proves it: eli manning steped up BIG time last year & thats why they went on to win it. peytom manning beat out the bears because rex grossman proved you cant have an average or medoicre QB to win a SB.

okay so now that farve is finaly on a team and the trade is for sure we need a new topic. i like the colts there my team but do you think the super bowl curse is gonna kill the giants this year?

Giants aren't going to win because the Jets are...lol

I am sorry I am just so happy...I am going to see a legend play this season. My uncle has season tickets and I am going to see atleast 5 games like every season

True, I actually just made a mistake haha. Do you really? You never know hahaha.
Daddy likes the Eagles, I don't lol. I'm a sucky Philly supporter hahaha.
Chase Utley though<3 Haahaha.

Yeah...I don't really like any Philly teams but I am a huge Samuel Dalembaret fan because he played for my dream colleges basketball team. Which is Seton Hall. We used to have season tickets to them also.

First off I don't hate Philly but I can't talk about them in my house since I am the only Jets fan and the rest are Giants fans, actually my dad is a Rams fan but they haven't been that good since Kurt Warner was around. And second off it sounds better like J-E-T-S JETS! JETS! JETS!

haha its all good ... to be honest, im just supporting philly because theyre my home team.. i dont even watch football XD

lol...I don't know why but whenever I type now it sounds like I am angry...I need to use more smileys.
