Hi guys
this has proberly been asked loads of time but i cant see it.Anyway were planing a disney trip on a budget and flights to Beauvais are €200 cheaper than to CDG(with aerlingus) from Dublin with ryanair. But is it possible to get transport when there were travelling with a todddler and would rather pay the bit extra and cut back somewhere else if it is worth the extra to go to CDG.any opinions & experiances would be great.thanks

Hi Helen
We were in this position when working out prices for our november triup this year. Ryanair were abot €150 cheaper...but transport from Beauvais to Disneyland would take 90 minutes instead of 45 from CDG to disney. Plus you would either have to take a convulated route to get to disney from beauvais or get a private taxi - that might cost around €130-€150 round trip anyway.

In all we decided to go with aer lingus from dublin to CDG - the trip is easier, CDG is easy to navigate around...the VEA is right outside the doors to get to disney and its worth the small amount of money extra - especially with children!

hth - pm me if you need any further advice or help!

sorry for bad spelling- baby is asleep on me at the moment and i'm typing 1 handed.

Hi Helen,

I was faced with the same decision (flying from Dublin) before I booked last month. I went with the slightly more expensive Aer Lingus option because of the proximity to DLP and the fact that I will be travelling with two young children.

For piece of mind I booked an airport transfer with one of the companies in the link (BDtransports). As we are travelling this weekend I will happily report on my return how it all went.

thanks for the help..mandy i think i might go to CDG instead..Sure my creditcard wont mind:rolleyes1 ...
syrme...report back:thumbsup2 & enjoy!!
DLP daft- thaks for the link will check all my options out

Hi Helen L,

Did you check Aer Lingus today, they have a sale on & flights I checked yesterday that were over 450 for 2 adults are 240 today.

Don't know if the dates would suit you. Would definately travel to CDG the transfer from Beauvais would be very expensive. You can always get the train from CDG Terminal 2 to Marne La Vallee (disney) only takes a few minutes (literally).

What about Air France? Have you checked with them? We flew with them last Halloween and found them fine.

We flew to Beauvais last week and got an 8-seater shuttle from Paris Blue Airport Shuttle and I can highly recommend them. :thumbsup2 The driver was fantastic. He was there waiting for us when we arrived even though we landed early and he was very punctual collecting us on our last day too. He had everything written down on his schedule so didn't need to double check anything with us which I liked. It was very reasonable I felt for exceptional service. 225 euro for five people return. They called it a shared shuttle - it was an eight seater mini bus (spotless) but it was just us! Also, if there were others using it, they assure you they'll all be going to the same area. When you consider the cost of the VEA shuttle from CDG, I think 225 euro was very cost effective. We used Airport Connection on our last trip from Gare du Nord to Disney and they were late, unfriendly and much more expensive. P.S. The trip took 1 hour, 25 minutes from Beauvais and 1 hour, 35 mins to Beauvais... nowhere near the 2 hours they recommend you allow. Also he carries baby car seats and child booster seats at all times for no extra charge. He was a great driver who drove seamlessly through the traffic and we felt thoroughly safe at all times.

I've added the link to The Very Useful Info sticky.

When I looked at their site I thought I recognised the logo so got my receipts out to check and yes, it was one of their vehicles that picked us up at CDG and took us to DLRP. We did ask at the time why we were going with a different firm but our driver didn't speak very much English and he had all our correct details on his clipboard so we were quite happy. We were booked with BSTransports so I can only guess that perhaps they overbooked and contracted it out? :confused3

Anyhow, we were very pleased and would also recommend. :thumbsup2

Actually, now you come to mention that Elaine, we booked with bstranports for our journey 2 weeks ago, and we also travelled in a Paris Blue Shuttle vehicle :thumbsup2 . No complaints at all.
