We would like to purchase a dual-screen car DVD player for our upcoming road trip to Disney. Does anyone have a good player they can recommend?

Thanks!

We had one of these that we used for years but the kids constantly fought over what movies to watch since they had different tastes in movies. I can't remember what brand it was. Maybe Eddie Bauer?

When ours finally broke this July, I decided we'll be getting them each their own that they can listen to with headphones so that should end the fighting. Or at least some of it. :rotfl:

I know there are some where you can watch two different movies or the same movie, but I don't know which brands. I also saw a review once of one that you could control the movies from the front seat, but I didn't book mark it. I'm looking for ideas too. :)

This thread really interest me.

We recently got a new van and it does not have the video player. I recieved a $100 Target gift card with the van.

I was hoping to a car video player. I would love to hear advice.

We own a dual-screen DVD system, but we've quit using it! It's too much trouble to put in & remove from car when we park for the night.

Instead, we've gone to the cheaper hand held units for each girl. They work on planes and in motels, which works for us better.

We looked & looked. We finally bought one in the automotive section of Wal-Mart. We LOVE it. LOVE it. It has two screens and they each have their own DVD player. Then they have cords that connect to each other if they want to watch the same thing. You can plug them into the cigarette lighter or into a regular house plug.

We just went to Yellowstone from Ohio with a 17 month old, a 6 year old, and a 7 year old. It was a perfect set-up.

Wal-Mart Automotive section. It won't cost you much & they owrk perfectly.

We recently bought an Audiovox with dual 9" screens from Target. You can play different movies on each of the screens at the same time or connect them and play the same movie. Some of the reviews weren't great--some complaints about the sound being too low--but so far we have no complaints with ours. You can even split them up if you want and use them in different vehicles. I think we got it on sale for $179.

Thank you all for your recommendations! I did some research and read a lot of bad reviews about various car DVD players and am concerned I will buy one that will break easily. I will check out the one from Walmart and Target.

None of them are perfect! We just bought a 9" one from Target a few weeks ago...works good. The sreen is very big. The sound could be better...but It gets us through a trip much more easily! we paid 199.
