DTD- yes or no?

When our kids were younger, before DQ, they loved DTD. We'd go in the evening and they would play in the fountains. They also loved the huge Disney store.

I'm not interested in DTD at all. I've been to WDW many times and have yet to do DTD. (although we have visited the DL version) I am not into shopping at all, and don't feel drawn to the big theme chain restaurants like Planet Hollywood or RFC. (which we visit at AK if need be--or in other cities)

I think if you are into shopping, and you enjoy your local mall as entertainment, and your kids do too, then I am sure DTD will be interesting and fun to you. People like me who would rather pull out their fingernails than spend a beautiful morning of my vacation taking young children shopping won't care for it. (I am also not interested in DQ--we aren't into the arcade thing either! LOL)

I will say that this next trip we are going with friends and plan to enjoy an evening at PI and may walk around DTD a bit first simply for future reference. We're just not shoppers, don't care for souvenirs (can get what we want in the parks for the most part) Also not interested in the carousel, etc, since there's a free one of those in Fantasyland ;)

Only you know if you and your family will enjoy shopping and eating as entertainment on a morning of your vacation. For us, the answer is no.

(oh yeah, just wanted to say that they have the Potato Head accessories in several places in the parks as well as DTD. In the Judges Tent in ToonTown for one.)

YES!!! Go to DTD. I love it there. You can get your shopping done there at one place so you don't have to at the parks. Plus, you can have a lot of fun as well. My family and I look forward to going everytime we are down there.

I really enjoy DTD especially the Marketplace, but then I love to Shop! I probably go down there 4 or 5 times on every trip. I always get an ornament personalized at the Christmas shop and pick up a few other ornaments for my newly started Disney Christmas Tree. Also I wil puruse the gift shops at the parks, but I wait and make most of my purchases at WOD because passholders get 10% off there. I also love the once upon a toy store, the art of disney, the pin shop, and the arribra brothers store. Not to mention the sandwiches at EOS are great.

We love DTD, but I sure wouldn't enjoy it with three little ones. :earsboy:

How about considering one the WDW recommended babysitting services, and go there with DH? Just a thought...
