Guys - how long does it take to drive from DTD to WL?

We have a 5pm PS at the RFC in DTD (party of 8) and need to be at the WL jetty at 7.15pm for a wishes cruise.

What time should we leave the RFC and is this realistic? I'm worried we won't have time to eat and the cruise is a surprise - everyone thinks we are going to WL to watch wishes from the beach - so they won't be in a hurry...

Personally I think you're cutting it WAY too close. I'd have dinner at Whispering Canyon at the WL so you can relax and enjoy your meal instead of rushing through it worrying about getting to WL.

It's probably a 10 minute drive, at most, though. But don't forget to factor in walking from the parking lot, through the lodge, to the marina and to the boat. Add in another 10 minutes there to be safe.

I'd personally cancel RFC and go with WCC at the WL. JMHO.

I thought it might be a good 20 mins... we looked at the WL restaurants but my DH2B didn't like the menus. This dinner is following our wedding at the poly and he picked RFC. I might have to go and revisit the menus... otherwise we'll just have to do main meals only - we're planning on heading over to the boardwalk after the cruise so we could do deserts at beaches and cream - and there are snacks on the boat anyway.

Thanks for the advice it's appreciated :0)

One other thing to remember is that service is slooooow at RFC, and there is always a wait to be seated, even with a PS/ADR. I would come up with a different plan, or, if you really want to eat at RFC, go earlier if your schedule permits. I am guessing you already looked at and decided against the menus for the Poly restuarants?

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Not only service, but the wait can take for ever...What about 1900 Park Fare? This is much closer.
