DTD Starbucks Question/Early Entry

We are staying at the DLH and planning to take advantage of the morning early entry. I looked at the Disneyland calendar and for my dates park opening is 8am making that a 7am early entry.

My plan is to be at the gates by 6:30am. I would like to stop in at the Starbucks in DTD on my way to the gate each morning and pickup a coffee and a snack. Is the DTD Starbucks really busy during that time? I'm trying to gauge what the line/crowd at Starbucks would be like that early.

What time should I plan to leave the hotel that will allow me to make it to the park gate by 6:30am with coffee in hand?

Hello fellow DisneyFan!

I've been to the DTD starbucks a few times and they're pretty organized but they can get really busy. It could be 15 minutes, it could be 25 minutes to get a coffee. If you really want to be sure to get to the park entrance by 6:30 I would personally be at the Starbucks by 6am or even a few minutes before.

There's a great coffee shop at DLH next to Goofy's Kitchen -maybe check their opening time. Definately not as crowded as Starbucks and good coffee!

Coffee or tea elsewhere would be best.

Oh how disgusting:

As someone else mentioned skip the Starbucks, there is a great coffee shop on the DLH grounds. They have good snack selection.

What we did is I would wake up a bit earlier than my wife/kids and walk down to get coffee, milk, ect. Then come back and wake them up with breakfast ready and get ready while they eat / then get them ready and be out the door....worked well for us. I think they are usually open at 6am.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to respond. You've all been a great help getting my EE plan together. :flower1:

For my own information, are there coffee makers in the rooms at DLH? I was planning to purchase "breakfast snacks" (such as muffins) before retiring for the evening. That way, the next morning, we could eat while we got ready - just to sustain us for the early morning. I'm hoping for a coffee maker in the room!

Wow I'd seen they ran an efficient operation at the Starbucks down there but I had no idea how efficient till I read the beginning of the thread @SMD linked! I'm tempted to give that a shot next time we visit. I had always assumed it would be crowded beyond belief.

There are coffee pod makers in the room. I'm slightly picky about coffee and I like theirs. I believe it's the Joffrey's that they serve at all the Disney Resort Hotels. I like soy milk so if we haven't ordered it from Von's delivery, the night we arrive I get a cup from Hearthstone at GCH (so at DLH you can get it at the Coffee House) and keep it in the fridge. That way if I make coffee in the room in the am I have it. I also get extra sugar packets because they never seem to give you enough do they?
BTW the Coffee House at DLH has this famous drink called the Red Eye which is coffee with a shot of espresso- :worship:

There is also the Tangora Terrace at DLH. They have coffee, hot chocolate, oj, snacks, breakfast. I'm not sure what time they open though. If I remember right, I think the coffee my even be a little cheaper there and you get an AP discount if you have one. My DH is a sweetie and always gets coffee and hot chocolate and brings it up to the room while we get ready. Oh, and I bring the little muffins and apples or breakfast bars to have in the room to get us by until we have done a few rides and then stop to eat.

That is like, Food Babe level conspiracy crap. The Knights Templar? Are you serious with this crap?

Anyhow, grabbing breakfast at 'bux is my plan for early entry. You can get a red eye and a black eye there as well. ;) To limit your wait time, steer clear of Frappiccinos which take longer than average to make.

You could stop and get the coffee and snack while the rest of your party goes to the gates then meet them. That way they're holding your spot just incase the line takes longer than you wanted.

Hey I am not the creator of the video, only the viewer. Lmao
If people don't mind drinking Starbucks beverages that may make one ill, so be it.
Anyone try one of their $6+ smoothies yet?
