Okay, here is the problem. We have a family of four(4) and when we go to Disney World we normally stay onsite at one of the Allstars resorts. Last time my family went we went on spring break, which was on April 2001, with my friends family of four(4) and we booked a room beside each other. Hopefully this spring break we can go again. Well my best friend wants to go with us and she would pay everything (her food, ticket, souviners, etc) except room becuz she would sleep with my family in our room. This is the problem. If we stay onsite we are only allowed four(4) people to a room becuz of fire safety precautions. With her coming with us that would make five(5) adults (my mom, dad, lil brother,me, and my friend.) That means we would have to stay offsite. But we have never stayed offsite before. We were going to if it was cheeper and about the same quality of stay as staying on Disney property. The hotels we were going to stay at were the seven(7) DTD resorts that are on property but not owned by Disney. If any of you have ever stayed at any of these resorts, any information on the bus transportation, rooms, dining, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanxs :smooth:

We stayed at the Doubletree Guest Suites in DTD in November 1999. The hotel had just finished a major renovation. Our one-bedroom was very nicely decorated and very roomy at 600 square feet. We had a King in the Br and a sleeper sofa in the living room. If you requested two doubles, the suite would sleep six comfortably.

I have stayed at the Best Western in DTD & you can request a comp upgrade to a 2 qeen bed & pull out sofa room (that will sleep the 5 of you). If you don't want to chance the comp upgrade...they will only charge you $10 per night more (which isn't bad). The bus service is the same as the others in that area. I never had a problem, in fact sometimes I would take the DTD bus back from the parks...then do some shopping there & walk back to the room. I want to say the DTD Resorts bus runs every 20 minutes in the morning & at night. During mid day if may be a bit longer wait. I think they start 1 hr prior & end 1 hr after park hours. If you call any one of the resorts there, they will give you a definate......
