My family is going to Disney in December  and we are planning to spend our first evening after arriving at DTD. We are on the QSDP. Does anyone know what if any Counter Service restaurants are available in the DTD area?

Thanks bunches!

You have to go to Wolfgang Puck's Express!!! It is awesome!!! And well more worth the CS credits!!! Just becareful...there is on the DTD side and one on the West Side. Both are amazing...the one in DTD is bigger and has a larger menu!! We went twice during our trip last month!!!:thumbsup2

::yes::

If you aren't intrested in gourmet, (although the pp suggestion is an outstanding choice)then I have two suggestions for DTD.
If you want a light meal and think sandwiches are all your intrested in then you have to try Earl of Sandwiches, very tasty!
If your wanting a beer, or some really yummy fried food, then Cooke's of Dublin in your place! :woohoo: Good fish and chips here.
If your looking for a sit down really fun Resturant for kids,(sorry not CS) or even yourself :thumbsup2 then I recommend T-REX. Really cool atmosphere!!!
Best place to see where ALL counter and sit down resturants are is AllEarsNet.com this place tells you what others think about it and I think somewhere's there are descriptions about each place. :confused3 I usually only look at Reviews, (which is where you want to go to find out more about what others think of the place) look at the reviews with a grain of salt, if it averages lower than a seven beware, anything over a 7 means it's subjectable to taste (in my opinion). ;)
AllEarsNet.com is without a doubt your ticket to knowing every resturant and quick service places there is all over WDW! Honestly if you can afford the upgrade to regular dining that offers you one TS and CS a day I would do it, it's so worth having the sit down experiences, there are some really amazing sit down resturants and buffets all WDW that you shouldn't miss.
But also some really amazing CS places too! It's a win, win!
Have a magical time! pixiedust:

Thanks so much for the advice! I checked out Allears and now we have an extremely hard decision to make--what to choose! :confused3 There are soooo many great sounding choices. I guess we will just have to wait and see what sounds good at the time. Oh, the hard decisions one must make in life. ;)

Thanks, Millie12591, for suggesting that we upgrade the dining plan, but we have had DDP in the past and everyone wants to be a bit more spontaneous on this trip. My son especially got tired of being hungry and having to snack around because it wasn't time for our ADR. We are going to try QSDP this time and if we aren't satisfied we will definitely go back to the DDP.

Thanks everyone!

Your so welcome! I'm so happy that Allears gave you the heads up to what you needed to know, and I totally understand the wanting to be more spontaneous! :) Here's to a totally amazing and spontaneous trip! :woohoo:

DH and DS15 say, "Go to Earl of Sandwich. It is EXCELLENT!" They went there one evening while DS13 and I went somewhere else and they have bragged ever since. Of course, I think they bought us both Christmas gifts but they still manage to brag.

To me the decision is easy. We really like Earl of Sandwich, but it is a bit light for dinner. In addition, as far as CS credits go, Wolfgang Puck Express is without a doubt the best deal at WDW. Go for the one in the MarketPlace. IMHO it is better. The only thing to remember is to budget a few dollars for a tip. It is not mandatory but the staff to a wonderful job of looking after you and deserve a little something.

We totally agree :)

I agree with everyone else, definitely go for Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Puck Express! Or both if you can because they're so deliciousss

I love Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express at DTD. If you are in a mood for a sandwich, go for Earl. If you want pizza or pasta, then try Wolfgang.
I have never had anything bad from either one.
ENJOY!!

Another vote for Earl of Sandwich! It's fantastic, and I've found their sandwiches very filling, we've dine there like 3 times, one of my favorite QS in DTD!!!
Also, Wolfang Puck Express is an excellent choice, specially for breakfast, I've found that it's a hidden gem, for a QS serves very big portions and very tasty too!

Earl of Sandwich has a slight edge in my book. We are not big eaters and find that appetizers at most restaurants would satisfy our appetites. My dad eats more but usually just finishes my mom's sandwich. I like the huge array of sandwich choices and would like to get there again this time.

Wolf Gang Puck Express is excellent too. I had one of the pizzas and really enjoyed it. I was there before the rehab (there was one there, right?) and it was a little tight inside and a bit chilly to be eating outside, but that's my only complaint.
