Just had to share my son's "Seinfield moment" he had at school this week. He just started 6th grade at the new middle school and after the first couple days of school this girl started calling the house to talk to him. He would jump around and be really happy whenever she called. She's been calling everynight but Wed night she did not call. I didn't think anything of it but he was kind of bummed. After I picked him up from school yesterday he seemd kind of bummed and I asked him what was wrong - He said " Well Christina doesn't like me anymore" I asked why - he said that " Her friend told him that she doesn't like him because she saw him picking his nose in the hallway" He looked at me all upset and said "But mom I wasn't picking I was scratching"
He got a little upset when I laughed but I told him " Son your in middle school now - keep your fingers away from your nose at all times. kids are just waiting to tease anyone that looks like they might be picking their noses" I know that he is upset over this - but I couldn't help but laugh ( bad mom) I just kept thinking of that Seinfield episode where the girl sees Jerry "picking" - LOL
Good news is he is over it already and not too upset anymore. BUt he wouldn't be happy knowing that I am sharing his story.

and I hope your ds is feeling better about the whole thing. When I was in 8th grade, my 'boyfriend', Jack broke up with me because I got a perm.
