Last night we went to Ds's open house to see his new 3rd grade classroom. We were peekin in his desk and all the rest of the stuff you do at these things, when this girl walks up.

She looks to be 20, so imagine my surprise when she introduces herself as DS's teacher! :faint:

She seemed nice enough. And I don't have any problem with it, especially since I am a young mom.

As soon as we get in the car, DH says to me "She is SMOKIN hot!"

Guess I won't have to drag him along to confrences this year!

Funny you should mentioned this... The teacher I volunteer and intern for also looks 20. Last night was open house and many teachers were shocked because she looks so young and I look young as well. I am 21, but I really look 16 or 17. :confused3 :rotfl:

My kids had brand new teachers when they were in 3rd grade, and they were the BEST teachers they ever had. They were so enthusiastic, and really great about working with the kids.

In fact, my DS's best friend moved into his class near the end of the year (he was homeschooled before), and the friend's parent couldn't believe how young the teacher looked (she really was 22, so there was a reason she looked young)!

The other great teacher my kids both had (DD had them first and I requested the same one for DS), was also a first year teacher, but she wasn't even 22 when she started teaching.

Hope it's a great year!

My DDs both have young, very attractive female teachers this year. I'd never felt so old & dumpy in my life. :rotfl: :rotfl2: DS had a young, attractive teacher last year---I didn't mind looking at him though. ;)

My dd has had older women every year. Most are grandmothers. But, the music teacher is really young, and looks even younger! When we went to the first music program at the school my MIL thought she was as student. Yes, she looks young, but not young enough for 5th grade!

Ugh! that is exactly how I felt. Old and dumpy. She's probably only a few years younger then me, but she is just this tiny little thing. Maybe 5 foot tall. 100 pounds soaking wet. Wearing her cute little flip flops, with her cute little toe ring.

Me, well, I've gotten a little fluffier the last year or so. I felt like a fat cow talking to her!

Kids will be kids lol

DS6 is in first grade, he had this to say about his teacher "she is really pretty, and I like the way she does her make-up" So a big hit all round then I guess!

She is a very nice lady. I think he will do well this year.

90 percent of the teachers in my daughters school are young. And in the last 2 years at least 10 have been pregnant! I met my daughters teacher out in the store and did not recognize her, she had her hair pulled back and looked like she was 17 years old. She said Hi Miss (my last name) and I just looked and said "ok, who are you"....when she said my daughters teacher I was SO embarrassed. I thought she was the teenage friend of my godson!!!

Am I the only one who thought it was funny that a 3rd grader called his teacher "smokin' hot"? :rotfl2:

I can't imagine my DS6 saying that in a few years! (I suppose in a few years I could be thrilled if that's all he says...)

That was her husband...............

One of my very best friends is an extremely young-looking, attractive girl. We've told her it's lucky she chose elementary........if she'd gone into secondary she could be mistaken for a student! :rotfl:

At least your son's not in high school. He'd never learn anything :rotfl:

My senior year of high school my science teacher had graduated with my sister who's only 6 years older than me. The man is short and definitely looks younger than he is. It was his first full year as a full time teacher but the previous year he started during the second half of the year (I think). One day we had an assembly so he was patrolling the aisle of the auditorium like all the other teachers were. Our newspaper advisor walks up to him and tells him to take a seat having mistook him for a student. It was beyond funny at the time for everyone that knew that he was, in fact, a teacher.

:rotfl2: I'm with you... My son is in the 4th grade and he still thinks girls have cooties :confused3

My dd `s teacher has to be 22 or 23.

The other night we where at dinner with friends. My friends husband asked another friends husband if his sons kgn teacher was hot. He says she is a nun and is 80 years old. :rotfl2:

And what is it with high school Math teachers? :confused3 Every Math teacher my daughter has had in high school is young and extremely good looking. Her Sophomore Math teacher looked about 18 years old. He had a "cool" earring in one ear and, according to my daughter, none of the girls could concentrate in class because he was so awesome looking. This year her Math teacher is also "one good looking dude".
