This reminds me of when my son was 4. To make a long story short, he tripped over a pallet of games at ToysRUs and ended up getting a huge rusty nail lodged between his eyeball and browbone. I was totally hysterical and yet, I think he handled it better than I did! Kids that age are amaziingly resilient.

The surgeon was able (with 99.5% certainty) to successfully reattach everything! Just to keep David from disruptiing the healing of that middle finger, the doctor wrapped his entire hand in a bandage.
