Not a bad idea after we get home from our cruise. And he's getting a 10 free rental Blockbuster card w/Spiderman DVD. Our house is changing over to DVD this Christmas. And we're going to have about 8-10 new DVDs under the tree.
So how would you do this? Take turns picking out the movie to watch together?

Yep. That is what we do. We started this a couple years ago in the winter on Friday nights. We have seen many of the classic Disney movies. It is a lot of fun. Enjoy!

We have movie night...we both pick out a movie and DD and I pop popcorn and get out the M&Ms and watch with all the lights out.

We alternate movie nights with game nights. We've always played board games with the kids, but they are just now at the age where all four of us can sit down together and play a game that everyone enjoys.

I really look forward to when my kids get to that stage. Right now, the little one at almost 4, he's not quite ready to sit still and play a board game.

We do movie night every Friday night, without fail. :)

We joined Netflix about a month ago, so we've been catching up on alot of the classics. We usually pick one for family viewing, and the other two are generally more geared to Mom and Dad. We get behind in the summer months, but as the cold weather sets in movie nights are big with us.

I like the board game idea. We used to play Scrabble alot until DH realized that he didn't stand a chance...he's a horrible strategist, and the worst loser!

We used to have a classic movie night. There are so many old, wonderful movies, that are a part of Americana that young people growing up aren't familiar with. African Queen, Casa Blanca, Them (about the giant ants). There are a lot of wonderful sci fi classics.

We used to have game night. I think that ws the only time of the week that everyone go together.
I miss it!
Movie night would be good too.
We took turns chosing the game we played. :)

We love movie nights and game nights. Last weekend I bought "Swiss Family Robinson", "Davy Crockett", and "Heidi". "SFR" was a big hit with my boys, 6 and 8.
We also love playing Trivial Pursuit Junior, Monopoly, and Chess. Thanks to DH, both of them are also great little Poker players...:o :D
