DS Lite for $74.97

Does anyone know if this was just for today?

No, they've been on clearance for awhile, but I think today is when they marked it down to $74, and some stores have a few colors for $64. So it's whenever they run out.

I got excited when I read that Walmart would price match, called the store and was told yes they would, got up (left a sleeping baby in the bed), got dressed, and drove to my local Walmart with the printout in hand. The night manager grilled me, made it clear she didn't believe the ad, told me that she couldn't do it, then told me that I would have to come back tomorrow and talk to the regular manager when I insisted the ad was legit. Convenient that the regular manager works the same hours that I work. The closest Radio Shack is 45 min away, and I won't have time to get there, so I guess I'm SOL on this one. If anyone hears of any other deals, please post them!

To OP - THANK YOU! I was thrilled to get this price on it.

Last night, I checked online which stores in my area had it in stock and called the store to verify they did. Was told they had two, asked them to hold it and was at the store in 15 minutes. When I arrived, turned out they had two DSi, not DS Lite. Grrrrr. However, the clerk called another store about an hour away which had two red ones and they will have it at my local store this morning. Price was $74.97. YEAH!!!

Just picked up the last one from my RS. Lucked out, because it was red. On the website it said they only had black. Color really did not matter at that price
Tomorrow I will be returning the other to WM. Saved another $16.

I just left my walmart and I was able to get them to price match!!!! I was able to get the pink one. I called all the radio shacks in our STATE and they were all out So glad I tried walmart!!!

I just pulled it up on the radio shack website and did a print screen. That's all I took in, no questions asked

Thanks for the info! My radio shack only had silver left, but as I told the sales person, my kids will just be happy that they get one that they won't care what color it is! I called before the store opened. At the sales rep suggestion, he put the DS lite on hold. When I arrived at store open, the sales rep must have anticipated me asking for any other accessories that I might need that were on sale because he had items for me to look at. I bought a set of stylus for $2 bucks and a case cover that holds 3 games for $3. The case may not last long, but for $3 bucks I will take what I can get out of it! Now on to finding cheap games! LOL!

I just wanted to say thank you OP..I was able to take mine in today and get a price adjustment of $15.86, which I turned around and bought stocking stuffers at Walmart with lol..I called all over our state too and it seems that only one store had a few left but they were selling them for $100, even when I asked about the sale they still said no they were $100..so now I think i'm done christmas shopping lol

I got it! Thank you so much OP. I woke up this morning sick and decided that if the store 45 min away still had them, I was taking off work at lunch. Too good of a deal to pass up. The website was showing availability of the red model there, but when I called on my break, the girl said they had sold out all colors days ago. I did a print screen anyway, so today's date would be on the copy, worked all day (feeling like crap), and headed straight to Walmart when I got off to try and catch the manager. No luck, but an assistant mgr asked if she could help me instead, looked at the printout, told me no problem, walked to a case and got a red one out, and rung it up for $75! This one is for ds13-got a pink one during one of the Amazon lightning deals last week for $89 for dd11. Neither one of the kids started begging until after the Walmart sale on Black Friday, but this was a better deal anyway!!!!!

Yes thanks so much OP!! I've been on the fence about a system, either to get one or not, DS or PSP, DH and I could not decide. This pushed me over the edge DS7 will be getting it for his Bday Valentines day, and will be so thrilled.

I ended up calling Walmart to see what to do. They said they'd take seeing it on my smartphone. The lady in electronics was snotty and didn't want to deal with me at all but I told her "Sherri" said come in and ask for her, I was NOT leaving till I saw Sherri! She reluctantly took it up to a cashier, passing a manager on the way who said "SURE we can do that"... electronics "10 year service" lady was not happy. Got it all done and no issues. As PP stated, now to figure out what the games cost and where to find the best deal! I have 2 months to figure it out though

Oh, and this way I got him a blue one, his favorite color, without running around to RS (which are VERY far away) THANKS AGAIN OP !!!!!

I was able to get WalMart to price match too! They weren't scrambling to do it for me or anything though, it definitely took some convincing. lol WalMart even called RadioShack and RadioShack told them that no stores in Fl were selling them anymore, they were gone. And still WalMart did it! Yay!

Thanks to this thread, I purchased a white one for $65 late yesterday afternoon at my local RS. And the helpful clerk also sold me a clearance $3 DS case with 3 extra stylus. What a deal! I've been contemplating purchasing a replacement for our current DS Lite, which had a broken hinge and is now glued into the open position. GO BUDGET BOARD!!! Thank you!!!

I showed Walmart a copy of the price and availability on my smartphone and they wouldn't honor it. Said it had to be a printed ad and not a print screen. I advised that it wasn't something they advertised so there wasn't an ad. Asked if they'd call Radioshack and they refused. I left there disappointed (I had previously went into Radioshack and was advised they were all out but that another local store would hold one for me because they had two still in stock). I ended up purchasing games throughout the night online and went into the store with the one on hold for me in the morning when it opened. Well in the mean time another store had sold those two ones they had in stock and they didn't keep one on hold for me. Although I did luck out because the manager had found a white ds in the back when he was moving boxes that had been overlooked previously. It rang up at the 64.97 price so that was exciting getting it for ten less than I was expecting the silver one to be.
