DS is finally crawling!!

Hi Allison,

This is Alanna- from Thibodaux Colin is absolutely adorable. I think he looks a lot like Ryan! We actually have a 4 month old baby boy now, Ethan. I made need to call you for advice

I can see how the knee pads would come in handy...I think crawling on carpet for long periods of time would also hurt! I'll have to keep an eye on DS's knees.

My DH gets a kick out of all the baby things they make...he think a lot of it is silly and makes fun of me all the time.

Stinkerbelle...LOL! I just pictured everyone running everywhere! Maybe that would be a good thing...I would have lost all this baby weight a lot faster!

Alanna...good to hear from you! Congrats on little Ethan...he looks so sweet. Enjoy him now while he doesn't have to be entertained!

I'm not sure if we are the best people to ask for advice. We are learning as we go along.

I will share one secret ....You guys still have the westies? The dogs save you lots of money....think Lassie. We do not need daycare, we just leave Colin with the dogs. We have two so when there is trouble one stays with the baby and the other runs to get us. It works out great so far.

We made another step today...DS is finally taking sips from his sippy cup...he used to not even put it in his mouth! What a busy weekend for DS!

Hi Allison... your son is beautiful... I have a 4 year old daughter and a 10 1/2 month old son also.... When is your son's birthday? Thomas is June 30. Mine crawls and stands - I think he wants to walk but he doesn't know what to do once he stands up!

When they crawl , don't be surprised if they are late walkers, my pediatrician told me some crawlers can get around pretty good and are not in a rush to walk. Both of my kids walked at @ 14 months but crawled since 8 months. Now when my second was 4 years old , she decided to have daddy remove her training wheels from the bike and has been riding on two wheels since, and riding a 20" bike since age 6.
BTW, those babies are beautiful. Enjoy them while you can!

As for the knee pads:
1) Only if they have a Nike swoosh
2) I bet the things make kids loose traction and slip, spinning wheels as it were.

Tanya: Colin's birthday is July 2nd so he's only a couple of days younger your son. I was actually due on July 31st...Colin decided to make an earlier arrival.

Zurg: LOL! I'm so ashamed...let's hope I do better with his shoe choices in the future.

furniture surfing/walking since 8 mos old
does already take a few steps on her own
says mom mom & da da da
good luck he'll really be into things shortly
I can't keep up with mine already
